NATIONAL NIGHT OUT, AUGUST 3rd, 2021
OUR ANNUAL COMMUNITY CELEBRATION IS BACK & BETTER THAN EVER!
South Plainfield's annual NATIONAL NIGHT OUT celebration will be held on Tuesday, August 3rd, from 6:00 - 9:00 PM. Meet our officers and join us for an evening of family fun, with food, games, crafts, prizes, and entertainment: Bounce House, obstacle course, crafts, glitter tattos, raffles, food, fingerprinting, giveaways, photo ops & more!
Twin City Pharmacy will also be on hand with 450 doses of the Pfizer vaccine for people ages 12 and up!

What you need to know:
- This event is being held in the library parking lot, so attendees should park in the overflow lot behind the municipal building, or consider parking in the senior center parking lot.
- There is no rain date - in the event of really inclement weather the event will be canceled, but if it's just a drizzle we will forge ahead!
- There are still spaces available, so if anyone is interested in participating they can reach out to Officer Anthony Louise (alouise@sppolice.com) or Detective Sgt. Gary Cassio (gcassio@sppolice.com)
PLEASE NOTE: On August 3rd, the library will be open 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM instead of our normal Tuesday hours.
Our friends at Plainfield Area Humane Society will also be joining us at National Night Out. They are in need of some supplies, so if you plan to attend, please consider bringing a donation to a furry friend in need!
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide. Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and much, much more.
