Frances J. Greany Memorial Childrens Room sign DEDICATION DAY featuring PRESCHOOL OF ROCK!
SATURDAY, JUNE 25th at 10:00 AM

Presented free; no pre-registration required!

Join us for the formal dedication of the Frances J. Greany Memorial Children's Room. Featuring remarks by Mayor Anesh at 10 AM, followed by an appearance by Preschool of Rock at 10:30. Preschool of Rock offers a unique, roof-raising celebration, featuring live, original music, drum circles, guitars, world instruments, dramatic play, props, puppets, movement and storytelling!

INFORMATION for PARENTS:

Baby Time is designed for our youngest patrons and their caregivers. It is intended to introduce babies to the library in a positive way. This is a lapsit program including both structured time (songs & rhymes) and free play time. We have divided Baby Time into two different sessions, described below.

SESSION #1: NON-WALKERS

10:15 AM - 11:00 AM, Friday mornings

20-25 minutes of songs and rhymes for our youngest patrons followed by 20-25 minutes of play and socialization time. This session is best suited for babies who aren't quite brave enough to roam very far from their caregiver, regardless of ability to walk. No cell phones please!

SESSION #2: WALKERS

11:15 AM - 12:15 PM, Friday mornings

25-30 minutes of songs and rhymes for our younger patrons followed by 25-30 minutes of play and socialization time. This session is best suited for babies who are a little more adventerous and enjoy roaming around. No cell phones please!

If you have both a walker and a non-walker, please use your best judgment and pick the session that you think would be most appropriate. Remember - our goal is to keep all of our friends safe and comfortable!

Toddler Time is designed for our youngest patrons and their caregivers. It is intended to introduce toddlers to books and libraries in a positive way. This program runs 25 - 35 minutes and includes songs, rhymes, fingerplays, short books, and a craft. Caregivers should remain in the storyroom and are encouraged to join in the activities. No cell phones please!

INFORMATION for PARENTS:

This is an independent storytime where children sit and listen to stories all by themselves. Storytime is designed to introduce children to books and libraries in a positive, enjoyable way. The program time averages 45 minutes to 1 hour and includes a variety of stories, fingergames, action rhymes, and a related craft. Along with aiding the development of listening and motor skills, storytime is also a time when children can learn socialization skills with children their own age.

To help provide an optimal learning atmosphere for your child during storytime, please observe the following guidelines:
